“Made For the Soul, Designed For the Streets.”

A Labour of Love. Literally

Soul Senegal was built on two major pillars: Friendship and heritage.

When lifelong friends Liz and Souleymane realised they shared a profound love of Souleymane’s home country of Senegal, they decided to put their partnership and passion into action.

Over the course of their friendship, the pair has worked tirelessly to support projects that celebrate Senegal’s rich culture while providing resources for communities in need, driven by Liz’s background and career in international education.

What does that look like, exactly?

These projects include improving school facilities in rural communities, providing teacher training, facilitating student cultural and volunteer exchanges, and implementing curriculum projects focused on sustainability in rural Senegalese schools.

To date, they’ve even gotten their hands dirty by building shared community facilities in more remote parts of Senegal, giving new opportunities to regions that have been wholly overlooked by mainstream brands.

Just ask the founders:

“We wanted to build a company that enables us to give back in a broader sense to support education, healthcare, and sustainability projects in Senegal and also the wider West African region. That’s where SOUL was born!”

Here’s How We Put Soul Back in Streetwear

With every thread, Soul Senegal celebrates Senegalese culture and heritage in a way that seamlessly blends into modern life. No matter where you’re from or what your style looks like, we deliver a little piece of Senegal with athleisurewear that fuses traditional Senegalese prints and modern street style.

Souleymane, born and raised in Senegal, carries his Fulani heritage proudly and has dedicated his life to community-focused development in West Africa.

Together, they wanted to create a brand that combined their passions: culture, sustainability, and fashionSoul Senegal is exactly that.
